The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has licensed KGL Technology Limited, the parent company of Keed Ghana Limited as a Digital/Online Lottery Operator.
The license was presented to the company at the Authority's Board Room by the Board Chairman Togbe Francis Nyonyo and Director-General Kofi Osei-Ameyaw on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in the presence of Board Members of the NLA, representatives of KGL Technology Limited and its subsidiary company Keed Ghana Limited.
KGL Technology Limited would be operating NLA 5/90 official short code, *959# and other digital platforms under the brand name Keed-NLA and its core objective is to advance the digitalization of lottery on behalf of the NLA which is aligned to the Government's digitization policy.
KGL Technology Limited is a wholly owned Ghanaian entity combining local expertise across diverse fields with best in class technology support. It has been at the forefront of this agenda, lending expertise, technical support and services to the NLA after the Authority officially took over the operations of *959# short code.
KGL Technology Limited believes in a customer-centric approach and providing the best gaming and customer service experience.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Unit of NLA, said investments have been made to develop a local company with a world class with a requisite technical expertise and customer service orientation. This has led to a robust platform that continues to deliver on its promise of simplicity and reliability for customers.
The implementation of Digital/Online Lottery by the NLA in collaboration with KGL Technology Limited as an alternative channel of play, would serve as an additional revenue stream augmenting the Authority's revenue generation capacity and contribution to the Consolidated Fund.
The NLA envisaged that this will enhance the sales process, streamline service delivery and drive operational efficiency.
The official launch date for the digital/Online Products of KGL Technology Limited would be communicated to the general public, media and stakeholders of the Industry, the statement said. Each of the Board Members of NLA encourage the Executive Chairman and Representatives of KGL Technology Limited to operate within the Terms and conditions of the License granted to them.
The Director-General of NLA, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw congratulated the leadership of KGL Technology Limited for their patience, perseverance and cooperation with the NLA.
He expressed confidence in the competencies of KGL Technology Limited to provide an excellent customer-centric service on behalf of the NLA.
Togbe Francis Nyonyo, the Board Chairman of NLA, on behalf of the Authority, presented the Certificate to KGL Technology Limited.
Urged them to operate within the laws, terms and conditions of the License granted, pay wins promptly and ensure that they uphold the best standard practices in the Lottery Industry.
The Executive Chairman of KGL Technology Limited, Alex Dadey on behalf of the company pledges the selfless commitment of its Company to the NLA and Government of Ghana.
According to him, they would operate within the laws, terms and conditions of the License.
KGL Technology Limited would work to the collective benefits of Government of Ghana, NLA, Staking Public and all stakeholders of the Lottery Industry.
