Congratulations To President-Elect Biden

President-elect, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr President-elect, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr

After five days of tense moments, Joe Biden has been elected as the 46th president of the United States of America.

The November 3, election was not without controversy and tensed moments, as President Donald Trump, has alleged rigging, even before the first ballot was counted.

It was a moment in the history of the United States of America, (USA) and indeed the world, when an erratic individual with no sense of diplomacy was shown the exit.

Americans are filled with renewed hope that the president that they have elected will serve them better.

As a newspaper, we cannot but be happy with the outcome of the election, as the presidency of Donald Trump, divided not only America, but the world was on edge, not knowing what is up his sleeves.

It was four years of wasted opportunity for Americans, who had reposed confidence in him in 2016.

In our considered opinion, there is only one winner in this election– the American people.

We advice the new president, against treading the path of his predecessor, because it was wasteful, uncivilised and against all democratic norms.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr, was born on November 20, 1942.

Raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and New Castle County, Delaware, Biden studied at the University of Delaware before earning his law degree from Syracuse University in 1968.

He was elected a New Castle County Councillor in 1970, and became the sixth-youngest senator in American history, when he was elected to the U.S. Senate from Delaware in 1972, at the age of 29.

A member of the Democratic Party, Biden previously served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 and United States Senator for Delaware from 1973 to 2009.
