The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B's visit to some Senior High Schools (SHS) in the Ashanti Region, ostensibly to campaign, has raised serious moral questions.

Nana B, In a show of power, after the visit flaunted pictures of his encounter with the students. In the pictures, which were accompanied with a write-up he posted on Facebook, he was seen addressing the students, and urging them to show appreciation to Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP, by voting for them.

The apparent visit of Nana B, without doubt is despicable and worrisome, especially so, as parents and guardians of the students are barred from visiting them, because of the coronavirus, nicknamed COVID-19.

This tendency in the opinion of this newspaper is what has heightened the tension in the country, as though the nation is preparing for war.

In 2018, when we were even in normal times, the headmaster of Tempane Senior High School in the Upper East region, Dominic Ndegu Amolale, was suspended, following a viral video of an aspiring National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joshua Akamba, inciting some students of the school against President Akufo-Addo over the challenges facing the implementation of the free SHS policy.

It has been days now and the GES, which in the past reprimanded a headmaster for what they saw as an aberration, has remain tightlipped on Nana B.

It is befuddling how as a society, we treat members of the NPP, as though they are above the law.

As a newspaper, we align ourselves with many Ghanaians, who are calling on education authorities to call the NPP Youth Organiser to order.

The desperation and reckless behavior by this government to perpetuate itself in power must stop. Recently, the government deployed some military personnel to Ketu South, with the excuse that, they were sent there to man our borders to prevent foreigners from entering into the country, until okro mouth Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa in the Ashanti Region, KT Hammond, blew the lid on the real intention.
