The Electoral Commission yesterday, held balloting for the political parties to choose how their respective presidential candidates, will appear on the ballot papers come December 7.
As faith will have, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), with John Dramani Mahama, as its presidential candidates picked the number two position.
The stage is now set for the December 7 election, as the various candidates know their position on the ballot paper.
Although there are 12 candidates on the ballot paper, the election will basically be an all-out race between the incumbent Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and John Dramani Mahama of the NDC.
The hand of God is on John Dramani Mahama, the balloting represent his second coming to rescue Ghanaians from the untold hardship that, they are made to endure.
President Akufo-Addo, has become a liability in his own campaign because of his abysmal performance and three and four years of maladministration.
For what it is worth, this election season would serve as an opportunity for Ghanaians to assess the parties and the performance of their candidates as the two front runners, have all had served one term of four years each.
This newspaper is hoping against hope that, the political actors would engage in robust battle on ideas on how to bring relief to the millions of Ghanaians who have lost hope in our politicians.
We implore on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to avail himself to the debate proposed by president Mahama.
Elections are not wars, it is not a do-or-die affair, it is not about who can speak well, but rather a process to ensure the best ideas are adopted for the common good of the society.
As a newspaper, we believe John Dramani Mahama, is the best person for this country, his position on the ballot, is a sign from God.
