We all have demons in our lives that haunt us. Some of our demons are spiritual, while others physical, and as is often said, about things beyond our control, our spiritual demons are beyond our control; we are only able to defeat them, when we put our prayers before God.
The physical demons are as difficult to defeat as our spiritual ones. There is a saying among our people, which goes like, the animal that will bite you, is often closer to you.
The reason why our physical demons are difficult to defeat is that, we know them, but we often ignore them for very many reasons. One reason that is not far-fetched is that, they are people, we love the most and are closest to us.
I have always wondered why someone, who has been touted as a corruption crusader, freedom fighter, a friend to the media, could become a president and all that we were told about him, suddenly becomes a fairy tale.
The president has been bewitched and leading all of us astray. His demons are both physical and spiritual. Often demons are like leeches, they occupy willing and available spaces.
His unbridled ambition to be president which spans several years, has created for him several demons, who were waiting to occupy his thoughts immediately that ambition is realized.
He certainly will have his own personal demons which were sleeping, and have been given life now that he is president.
The citizenry who are supposed to think along with the president, question every decision taken by him. We have become lions who are being led by a sheep.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is a chameleon, he is by day a good person, but at night a very dangerous person.
The president is also affected by the atmosphere around him. He is making wrong decisions based on the cloud of evil around him.
Ghanaians are always alarmed at the decision coming from the Flagstaff House, the president's decisions and the aspirations of the people are at cross purpose. Time and again, I have mentioned to friends that, I wish to be that fly on the wall to under the thinking process that went into taking a decision, because everything seem to be going wrong.
President Akufo-Addo, came to power on the mantra of fighting corruption, yet corruption has now become a by-word for his administration.
He has been presented to us as a friend of the media, and yet under his watch the media has not been physically attacked but radio stations have been closed down, because they were critical of government.
The president since 2017, has been acting as though he is under a spell, the president is probably under a force higher than we can imagine.
Since Akufo-Addo government assumed office, it has been one mistake after another. Those mistakes don't look normal, especially coming from a man who promised Ghanaians heaven on earth.
I am therefore convinced that there is an evil spell enveloping this country. We need to rescue Ghana from the forces of darkness that have enveloped the president and the presidency.
Ghana is a country in need of prayers and the president does too. We should ask God to guide the president before making appointments. We should, to put it in technocratic language, advise that the people should be very vigilant.
We have all failed so far, that crucial test of vigilance. The president does not belong to all of us, he has been taken hostage by family and friends.
The President is most affected by the atmosphere around him. He can make wrong decisions based on the cloud of evil around him and that has been his forte since assuming office.
We should all go down on our knees and pray for him, God must intercede on his behalf and by extension our behalf, because he is leading us to a path that, is certain to set the course of our progress back.
Who would have thought a crusader of his caliber, could not only turn a blind eye when a few people are fleeing our collective heritage, but will fight anyone who dares to do his or her job.
When Madam Charlotte Osei, who supervised one of the most peaceful, free, fair and transparent elections in the history of this country was unfairly sacked, we all kept quiet and pretended we didn't care, but that was to set the stage for what is to come later.
Daniel Yao Domelevo, who has put his life on the line to fight corruption, also fell on the sword of Akufo-Addo, his family and friends, when he dared to go after Yaw Osafo Marfo and Ken Ofori Atta.
Every action the president takes has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is against the people.
The shame is upon President Akufo-Addo, whose flagrant ineptitude to captain the Ghanaian ship has left him with no alternative, but to launch a series of fraudulent assaults on the Ghanaian people.
The pervasive poverty in Ghana is the product of governments like Akufo-Addo's who lack the required intelligence to cause any social transformation and who are overly inspired by immoderate greed to amass public wealth for personal use.
This accounts for why Akufo-Addo's 'anti-corruption war' has become a major source of comic relief when one considers his fraudulent policies and his long list of nepotistic appointments.
Finally, the president should remember that nemesis does not only befall those who deliberately impoverish their people, it consumes their children too.
