BINDURI: NPP Fight NDC Hoodlums Over Billboards.

NPP Fight NDC Hoodlums Over Billboards. NPP Fight NDC Hoodlums Over Billboards.

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Binduri Constituency of the Upper East Region is accusing the opposition National Democratic Congress in the area of pulling and destroying bill Boards, featuring the embodiment of the president, as well as its parliamentary candidate.

In a release copied to this outlet, the party claimed that the National Democratic Congress supporters are behind the destruction of the Party's bill Boards. The party argued that such behavior does not promote peace, especially at this critical period.

The party has equally expressed its displeasure over the alleged refusal by the security agencies in the area to apprehend the perpetrators. Below is the press release.

Press Statement:

Our attention has been drawn to the destruction of NPP Campaign signboards sited at Goduri and Bawksapeilig this morning, 8th November 2020. A grapevine source is pointing at one Moro Amalug, a closed associate of the MP as the architect of this cowardice act sanctioned by his boss, the violent, arrogant, frustrated and out-going MP for Binduri, Dr Robert Baba Kuganab-lem, whose political fortunes is fast eroding.

The signboards destroyed this morning adds to a long list of other NPP campaign signboards and posters earlier on destroyed in Bazua, Avuondaago, Zaago, Kuluko, Manga, Atuba, Audit Service and Kpalugu Police Check point in October 2020.

The silence of the security agencies in Binduri to apprehend the perpetrators has emboldened their criminal activities recently.

Our patience as NPP youth is fast eroding, considering the level of provocation from the other side of the political divide. We are losing hope in the security agencies for their failure to arrest the perpetrators and protect our property.

We are calling on the Police, National Security and the BNI to commence immediate investigation and arrest the perpetrators swiftly or lose our trust completely.

We wish to state that we are capable of exploring other means necessary to protect ourselves and our properties and remedy the destruction already done to us if the police fail to arrest and prosecute these criminals.

In the meantime, BYP urges all NPP youth across Binduri to remain calm in the face of all these provocations. We particularly encourage all and sundry to intensify the campaign to get Hon AbangaAbanga elected as the next Member of Parliament for Binduri as we draw closer to December 7th.

Your efforts as youth of Binduri is producing a lot of results that our opponents cannot stand. We encourage you to remain resolute and trust in the leadership of BYP as we engage other stakeholders in Binduri to demand justice on your behalf.

The battle is still the Lords.

Thank you.
