Local executives of the Opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), in the Kintampo North Constituency of the Bono East Region, are calling on voters to dignify their thumbs by voting for the party so as to benefit an untra-modern co-equal to that of the tongue-wagging much discussed kejetia market.
The Kintampo North seat, this paper is told, has been won by the NDC since the inception of the fourth Republic.
Constituency Chairman, Mohammed Alhassan, in a high spirited mood told The Herald's Abugri Haruna that the party hopes to widen its electoral vote margin in the upcoming general elections within the electoral boundary of the constituency.
He noted that the people of Kintampo, has been short changed and deprived of development with the coming into power of the Akufo-Addo- led government.
According to him, the people of Kintampo, will punish the ruling party at the polls for the unwarranted deprivation of projects.
Flanged by a vocal Constituency treasurer, the constituency chairman, alluded that, several communities within the Constituency benefited massively in the area of schools, water, health, roads among others under the John Mahama administration.
Mr Mohammed, asserted that the governing NPP, will only be remembered for creating hardship, insecurity, corruption, as well as family and friends government.
He stated that the sugar-coated political promise of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), prior to the 2016 election, has fallen flat and that Ghanaians have come to appreciate the NDC as a good and development oriented party.
Mentioned of the failed promises, he noted include; the one village-one dam, the one million per Constituency, one district-one factory among others.
The party noted that a vote for the NDC, is a vote for free Primary Health Care, abolition of the double track system and the expansion of the Free Senior High School to private schools, among others.
Mr Mohammed, has thus called on Ghanaians to vote out the NPP for its poor performance. The NDC, he stated is the only political party that has Ghanaians at heart.
He assured that, the party will carry out its ultramodern market promise to the people of Kintampo when voted to power.
" This project is dear to the heart of the party and so the people should be rest assured that if we are voted back to power, we will fulfill it".
He called for peaceful elections, saying that peace is pivotal in development.
