NDC Parliamentary cadnditate has not defected to NPP

Eric Kwesi Taylor, a failed parliamentary aspirant Eric Kwesi Taylor, a failed parliamentary aspirant

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa has strongly denied claims that its Parliamentary cadnditate has defected to join the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Rather, "it is only one Eric Kwesi Taylor, a failed parliamentary aspirant who was serving his suspension for grave anti party behaviour, who has decided to finally go back to his roots. This has nothing to do with the NDC's Parliamentary Candidate for our Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency".

A statement to media houses dated 28th October 2020, said emphatically that "no Parliamentary Candidate or Constituency Chairman has defected from the NDC".

"We write to correct an erroneous media reportage and to inform all that the NDC's Parliamentary Candidate for the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency in the person of *Alhaji Alhassan Kobena Ghansah* has NOT defected to any political party but seriously campaigning to be elected as the next MP of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa come 7th Dec on the ticket of the NDC", it said.

Below is the full statement by the NDC executives in constituency.

NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS, NDCASIKUMA-ODOBEN- BRAKWA SECRETARIAT

To all Media HousesBreman Asikuma 28/10/2020

No Parliamentary Candidate or Constituency Chairman has defected from the NDC

We write to correct an erroneous media reportage and to inform all that the NDC's Parliamentary Candidate for the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency in the person of *Alhaji Alhassan Kobena Ghansah* has NOT defected to any political party but seriously campaigning to be elected as the next MP of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa come 7th Dec on the ticket of the NDC.

We find it quiet astonishing, reprehensible and repulsive that some media houses have cultivated the habit of throwing professionalism into the gutters by publishing untruths without verification and we call on them to immediately bring an end to such unfortunate practice in the interest of all.

For the record, it is only one Eric Kwesi Taylor, a failed parliamentary aspirant who was serving his suspension for grave anti party behaviour, who has decided to finally go back to his roots. This has nothing to do with the NDC's Parliamentary Candidate for our Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency.

We call on all sons and daughters of AOB to disregard the fake news and to rally behind *Alhaji Alhassan Kobena Ghansah* and *Prez John Dramani Mahama* to win massively in all polling stations in AOB come 7th Dec for our Constituency to witness real developments, decent & sustainable jobs and prosperity for all.

Signed

Cde George Ofori Nuako,Constituency Chairman

Cde Marklord Afori,Constituency Secretary

Cde Kwesi Darko Marshall,Const Comm Officer
