The seeming poor chances of the Akufo-Addo, administration is forcing him to buy the votes of Ghanaians to hold onto power.
According to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) which is raising the alarm, security personnel are being paid double salaries ostensibly to influence their votes .
The National Communication Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, who blew the cover of the President, said that the move is indicative of the corrupt character of the President and his government.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters yesterday, he gave more details when he said the security personnel in the month of November, were paid double salaries.
"We are reliably informed that our men in uniform, have been paid double salaries and other incentives in the month of November in what is a desperate, belated attempt by President Akufo-Addo to buy votes", he stressed.
Aside the security personnel, ,Sammy Gyamfi noted that attempts have been made to release Ghc354 million to be paid to teachers as their professional teachers allowance.
This, amount he explained is targeted at buying the votes of these professionals, who have been denied posting for the past four years.
"In the same vein, teachers and nurses who have been waiting for posting have also been granted fake clearance with a promise to employ them in April in 2021", he pointed out.
The indefatigable communication officer, further revealed that thousand market women too have been enticed with Ghc500 each across the country as what they are referring to as COVID-19 business relief supper scheme.
He therefore called on Ghanaians to reject the President and his deceit and the disrespectful move to buy their conscience.
Going into the upcoming elections, he said the corruption scandals which has permeated all facets of the government of the President will determine the outcome of the election with the NDC riding high with its integrity .
He named 10 scandals that have rocked the Nana Addo administration, making reference to the Agyapa, the BOST fuel contamination and the Australian visa scandal among others.
On whether who truly introduced the free senior education policy, he produced videos and picture evidence of John Dramani Mahama, launching the policy in September 2015 at Otuam in the Mfansteman district during the commissioning of the first community day school constructed by John Mahama.
