The Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has abandoned United Television (UTV) programme, dubbed 'critical issues' being hosted by Afia Pokuaa.
Mr Gyamfi, texted into the show, citing breach of agreement by the producer of the programme.
He stated that, the agreement he had with the producer was that, the show would be a one-on- one with the host and the rest of the panelist will join on zoom.
However, he came to found out that Richard Nyamah, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) deputy director of communications, was on the show in person, but not on zoom, which to him is a breach of the agreement he had with the producer.
It would be recalled that, Mr Gymafi, had had a scuffle with Mr Nyamah after a TV3 show sometime back.
The producer of the show, however, denied the assertions being made by Mr Gyamfi that they agreed to have a one-on-one show and the rest of the panelists on zoom.
He further explained that, he told Mr Gyamfi that at the time of talking with him, he had not had anyone from the side of the NPP and that if he does not, he would be in the show with an independent lawyer to do the analyses.
Mr Nyamah confirmed that he had an issue with Mr Gyamfi in the past, but apologized to him on Randy Abbey's show, Good Morning Ghana, on Metro TV.
He further stated that, he does not know why Mr Gyamfi, cited him as the reason for abandoning the show, before explaining further by texting into the programme.
