Members of the United Cadres Front of Ghana (UCF-Gh) congratulate the Council of Elders and the National Executive Committee of our great party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for unanimously endorsing Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the Running Mate of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for the 2020 Presidential Elections.
Being a woman of excellence by all standards, there is little doubt that Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang will bring to the ticket of John Mahama her hard-won qualities of being God-fearing, a distinguished scholar, a selfless public servant, and a shining example of what a woman can do for humanity.
One thing that the cadre movement endorses her acceptance of that enviable position of a Running Mate is the fact that, she has demonstrated throughout her life to be humble, affable, assertive, and indeed a leader and team-player. Moreover, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is sure to help bring decency into the body politic of this country by abhorring insults, vilification, name-calling, lies, and empty promises that have unfortunately become the order of the day.
There is no doubt that most patriotic citizens of Ghana are looking for people who have the courage and willingness to lead a crusade of bringing sanity into the fast-deteriorating political landscape of foul language that has sunk our body politics so low to unimaginable depths. It only takes a woman of great insights into what is good for Ghana by way of using our national resources to promote the development agenda of the country.
Our stand as the architects of probity, accountability, transparency and social justice has been re-assured by the selection of this great Professor, among a wide range of sublime choices, as the Running Mate to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
We call on all progressive forces, patriots and the good people of Ghana to accept the change that is so needed to turn around the sinking image of our dear country, by considering to register and vote overwhelmingly for the Workable Pair of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, come December, 7, 2020.
