The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has been caught in what insiders believe is unethical in connection with the death of his mother, Obaapanin Yaa Nkrumah.
The minister after opening a Book of Condolence for the late mother, has gone ahead to invite private business entities with interests at his ministry to the One Week Observation to be held at Jachie in the Asante Region.
As a matter of fact, Dr. Adutwum has sent invitation to almost all the private entities currently working at the Ministry of Education.
Sources at the Ministry of Education have it that the minister was cautioned over the whole exercise but he ignored the flags and went ahead to send the invitation to all the private entities to come to Jachie on October 16, 2021 for the one week Observation for the late Obaapanin Yaa Nkrumah.
The sources said that there are fears that the minister would play it soft with companies he is expecting at his funeral.
According to the sources, it was simply unethical for the minister, who appears to know everything under the sun to involve himself in such ugly manner.
The education minister's mother, Obaapanin Yaa Nkrumah died at the age of 96 years.
