The Ghana Powerlifting Federation is organising its maiden national championships.
The event starts from March 2-3, with the finals being held March 6, 2019.
This is the maiden edition of the Powerlifting championships in Ghana since powerlifting has been introduced in the country.
Registration starts now and ends on January 31, 2019. Audition will take place in the Northern sector, middle sector and the southern sector.
The Northern sector, will be held on February 9, 2018.
The middle sectors are Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, and the Western regions.
The Southern sectors consist of Greater Accra region, Central Region, Eastern Region and the Volta Region.

The winner will receive prices and also get the chance to represent Ghana outside the country as well.
The championship is organised by the Ghana Powerlifting Federation.
Powerlifting is a strength sport, consisting of three main lifts: the squat, the bench press and the deadlift. It has been a Paralympics sport since 1984.
